Modification of the Federal Act on Gender Equality

In December 2018, the Swiss Parliament adopted a revision of the Federal Act on Gender Equality, which will enter into force on 1 July 2020. The new provisions require employers with a workforce of at least 100 employees to conduct an internal equal pay analysis. The analysis will have to be verified by an independent body and its results will have to then be communicated to employees.
