Schellenberg Wittmer advises Hercules Capital, Inc. in a secured USD 500 million financing transaction

On 31 March 2025, Hercules Capital, Inc., leading a syndicate of financial institutions as administrative agent and collateral agent, closed a USD 500 million loan and security agreement with MoonLake AG, Zug, Switzerland (NASDAQ MLTX), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing medicines for immunologic diseases.
Schellenberg Wittmer acted as Swiss legal counsel to Hercules Capital, Inc. on this transaction. The team consisted of Philippe Borens (overall responsibility), Dominic Wälchli and Christoph Hügli (Banking & Finance) and Roland Wild and Tabea Bänteli (Tax).
