Schellenberg Wittmer Ltd is very proud to announce the arrival of Dr. Lorenza Ferrari Hofer as Partner in its Intellectual Property and Life Sciences practices.
In her new role, Lorenza will continue to strengthen and grow Schellenberg Wittmer's leading Intellectual Property and Life Sciences practices and team together with practice head Philipp Groz and key team members. Lorenza will also collaborate with Schellenberg Wittmer's Corporate/M&A Group on transactions across her fields of expertise.
Lorenza specializes in intellectual property, data and data protection law, unfair competition and contract law, and has a profound knowledge in complex, cross-border matters relating to product development, licensing, trade and distribution of technology, therapeutic, health and food products, and product liability.
Lorenza has strong expertise in structuring and negotiating intellectual property rights-related agreements, including R&D, transfer and licensing, and distribution agreements across numerous sectors. Her life sciences practice includes matters relating to regulatory and compliance, and product liability defence. Lorenza has broad experience in media (including social media), advertising, marketing and sponsorship matters.
Lorenza represents clients regularly in legal proceedings and regulatory matters in front of Swiss courts, arbitral tribunals and administrative authorities.
Prior to joining Schellenberg Wittmer, Lorenza was partner at another major Swiss business law firm, where she was head of its IP & TMT group and co-head of its Life Sciences Group. She practices in German, Italian, English and French.
With her distinguished background, Lorenza is a go-to name in Switzerland for complex intellectual property and life sciences mandates. She is ranked as a top practitioner by leading international publications, including Chambers and Partners, The Legal 500, Who’s Who Legal and IAM Patent 1000.
