The Klybeck area is one of the largest development areas in Switzerland. With the sale of this area, a new fully developed city district of Basel, with residential and business premises, will be built on the current industrial site over the next few years. Swiss Life, the owner of the largest private real estate portfolio in Switzerland, will develop the Klybeck site with a long term perspective, together with their development partner Bricks AG.

The site was sold in a complex multi-tiered auction process.
